It’s their choice, and Obsidian is opening the game up with that potential choice in mind. It seems that Obsidian Entertainment is building a new story set apart from the original, and if that’s the case, stalwart gamers who don’t want to buy an Xbox to check out the second game and other Xbox Series X exclusives don’t have to. The message implies it won't directly utilize them, though. It’ll probably reference events in Halcyon it may even build on them. By moving the game’s location and introducing a whole new crew in The Outer Worlds 2, there is the downside of fan-favorite characters like Parvati probably not appearing, but it also means that fans don’t have to worry about missing a direct continuation of the story. Players could skip Andromeda (though they should definitely play it) and it wouldn’t hurt the story of the original trilogy that could not be said of Mass Effect 3. That is all about to change when the Spacer’s Choice Edition comes out on March 7.Specifically, The Outer Worlds 2 takes place in a new star system and a new crew, meaning while it is a sequel, it’s something more akin to Mass Effect: Andromeda than Mass Effect 3. Since The Outer Worlds was released prior to the PS5 or the Xbox Series X being released, no one really got the opportunity to play this game with a full visually stunning potential. Better graphics, improved performance, improvement with lighting and the environment as a whole, an increased level cap, and so much more will be added to this Edition. The base game and the DLCs aren’t the only things that you can expect with this bundle. If you have never gotten the chance to play this game in 2019 or beyond, now can be a perfect time to start playing and have all the DLCs available at your disposal under one new cost. Bundled into this new version is the base game and both the Murder on Eridanos and Peril of Gorgon DLC. The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition will cost $59.99 if you haven’t previously owned the game, or $9.99 to upgrade the version that you currently own. What exactly you would be receiving by purchasing the Spacer’s Choice Edition is not a new game, but an updated and more improved version suited for next-gen consoles and the PC. If you are ready to give The Outer Worlds another chance on next-gen consoles, the Spacer’s Choice Edition may be perfect for you. What is the Spacer’s Choice Edition and what comes with this new version?
